This printer is an excellent one to own. I have owned mine since september of '08, so a little over a year. Yes you will use a lot of ink, but you will also get the excellent quality that people have come to expect from a canon.

It  have a one and a two year old and they always go up to the printer and take the ink out and have moved the housing for the ink around in there before. But that just goes to show how reliable it is.
